Be Sincere and Faithful
In order to be a better Muslim and to be better at learning and Understanding Quran, you need to be sincere with yourself and with the Holy Book. By sincerity we mean that you should have this ‘strong urge’ to learn Quran, you should have the passion to recite it and seek knowledge. It is something that cannot be forced upon you instead reciting, learning and understanding Quran has its roots deep in your faith and sincerity.

Read Translation

If Arabic is not your mother language and you don’t know anything about Arabic, you need to recite Quran with translation so that you can understand what you are reading. The idea is to get the message instead of just reading Quran.
Majority of the people, while reading and learning Quran, focus on the Arabic and ignore translation. When you don’t read the translation, you not only miss the message but you also lose interest. Though reading Quran in its own language (Arabic) is highly encouraged but the idea is to understand it too. The reason why you find it hard to recite Quran and the reason why you don’t feel motivated is that you don’t read its translation and thus miss the meanings.
To make learning of the Quran easy for yourself, it is strongly recommended to read its translation provided you don’t understand Arabic.

The Right Time

You can learn Quran any time but the best time to learn and Memorize Quran is early morning. According to Islamic scholars, the best time to learn Quran is right after Fajr prayer. Make it your habit to recite Quran every morning before and after Fajr prayer and you will see how easy it gets to learn it all.

Be Consistent

Learning Quran on and off will not take you anywhere. You have to be consistent. No matter how busy you are, no matter how tough routine you have, no matter how sleepy you feel, don’t forget to recite Quran. You should recite it daily and that’s how you will start learning it quickly.

Listen Carefully

Listening to Tilawa’h from renowned Qari’s will help you learn it quickly. This is one of the best ways to learn Quran. Whatever you read, you should listen to its audio too so that it stays in your mind. Reading yourself and listening to someone else’s Tilawa’h are two related but different concepts, and your job is to merge them together for greater benefit.
Reading, learning and memorizing Quran is not really a big deal. These tips are way more than enough for anyone who is desperate (and sincere) to learn Quran.
May Allah help you.
